ZOYA AKHTAR BELIEVES ON STAR SYSTEM

Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar keeps her believe in Bollywood's star system and she thinks It has helped in building film industry at the map of world's map. Zoya tells, "Star system is very important. If you look all around the world, India, Hollywood and China, every where is a star system in their film industries. Industries which don't have stars are going on a way of dying."  Zoya has directed films with filmstars Hrithik Roshan and Abhay Deol and her younger brother Farhan Akhtar. Zoya who is 40-year-old says that Indian industry has made her name in Hollywood because "we have our language; we have our own style, so our audience will want to see a Shah Rukh Khan and not Tom Cruise. Our star system is unique."
Zoya was asked to define a filmstar, says, "Stars does for people but not for himself. You can make some movies with them but not too many because otherwise audience will get used to it." Zoya reveals about Aamir Khan, "In this case, Aamir Khan is a bit different." Zoya who co-wrote the film with director Reema Kagti, has faced the experience of suspense genre first time.
"We try to show emotional stories because audience like the emotional films which leaves a message. If you won't show them emotional in films so they won't be liking the movies." For those of who don't know Zoya Khan is the daughter of poet-lyricist Javed Akhtar and script writer Honey Irani. Zoya has written and directed films 'Luck By Chance (2009)' and 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011). Zoya likes films which effect on audience heart but not to make money. If she grosses a lot of money from her film but audience don't like it so she'll be disappointed. I love everyone to watch movies and like it.
