SWEET MEMORIES OF DIVYA BHARTI!

Like the death of Hollywood Marylin Monroe's death, the rising star of Bollywood Divya Bharti's dead has still been suspicious to all. Was her death an accident or Didya was murdered or she drank herself and fall over from high roof. However, it is the death of Marylin or Divya, both cases are very tragic People kept asking everyone about what exactly happened with her. Marylin Monroe was 36-year-old at the time of her death whereas Divya was only 19-year-old! At the age of 15,  Divya eft reading school books and started reading scripts. She became the heroin of Telugu super hit film 'Bobbili Raja' at the age of 16 and in 1992 she became the famous girl of song 'Saath Samandar Paar' of film 'Vishwatma' by Rajiv Rai at the age of 18. After it romantic movie 'Dil Ka Kia Kasoor' released in which  Divya s magic and natural beauty was exposed, her cuteness and pretty face was shown on big screen. Both of these films were flopped but Vidya popularity raised in her viewers. Pahlaj Nihalani 'Shoola Aur Shabanam' is the Divya's first super hit Hindi film. The most interesting thing about  Divya is her three films were released back to back up to three Fridays. None of the actress has got this honor to have three films released on three Fridays. She won the Best New Face award for Hima Malini's film 'Dil Aashna Hai'. Divya did dozens of movies in two years of her film career. When Divya was going to become the most profit taken actress of Bollywood, till the time she fell down from the roof on 5 April, 1993!

                         Divya's parents Mita Bharti and papa Om Prakash had gone to a great shock after their daughter's death. Meeta Bharti had gained so much weight after her daughter's death but after twenty years of death she deducted her 25 kg of weight and became slim and smart.  Divya had wedded to Muslim producer Sajid Nadiadwala before her death. Divya's parent knew this. Today, Sajid second wife Warda is like a real daughter of Mr. and Mrs.  Divya  Warda said that she won't let him feel the absence of  Divya in his life ever and she's keeping her promise for a long time. But who can take out the memories of  Divya from their hearts. If we do go to meet Meeta Bharti so we'll find the memories of  Divya Bharti every corner of the house. I don't pretend, i'm a truthful man and yes, her mother cries sometime for her.  Divya's father Om Bharti says:

Divya was a doll: Mata ji told that  Divya was so cute. Whenever I wore her a new dress so she insisted me to take her to her cousins. She had good friendship with my brother's daughter and she showed them her new clothes happily. My son Kunal is 2-year younger than Divya, she used to call her bhaiyaa! She spread love to all. I remember when I wore her a new frock and sat her on the back seat of my car. We were just parking on the road so a man came and pointed at  Divya and asked 'where did you find this beautiful doll?' I looked that man very weirdly  and said this is not a doll, she is my daughter. Then that man pointed Vidya and shacked her hand to know that we were not lying. My daughter wasn't good in studies, if she took ten papers so she failed in nine subjects literally. Once I told her that I learn her lesson so I stood up and began to learn her lesson loudly but when I looked at her she stood in front of the mirror and singing the song with doing poses on SriDevi famous 'Ta thayya Ta Thayya'.

Miss and hit: She was just in ninth class so Govinda's producer brother Kirti Kumar approached her, he was planning to make film 'Radha Ka Sangam' those days. When  Divya got the offer, she left going to school and took training classes for dance, acting and classical song.  Divya was so fond of fun and she knew how to make every moment enjoyable. After being offered form Kirti bhaiyaa, Vidya went to a long drive with her friends and happily told them about her debuted film 'Radha Ka Sangam' which was kind of leak thing for the filmmaker. Kirti became so sad because he didn't want anyone to know that she signed  Divya Bharti as Radha in film 'Radha Ka Sangam'. When he asked Vidya about this so  Divya got angry with him and said 'why would hide something that is true?'. They had a fight and Kirti left her and cast Johi Chawla for the role of Radha. Booney Kapoor was seeking for a new heroin to introduce his brother Sanjay Kapoor. He called Divya for the film 'Prem' and he also finalized her for some reasons. Before  Divya could become the heroin of Sanjay, Booney chose Farha's sister Tabu for the heroin role and publish an ad in trade paper. My daughter hurt a lot after this. It's not over but Subhash Ghai also hurt my daughter. He wanted to cast  Divya for film Sodagar' but when someone met him to Nipali actress so he signed her beside Divya. My daughter used to get upset after being rejected from three places. Though to take her out from this phase I took her to Kashmir for vacations so she feels well and forget about which happened with her. We were just enjoying the greenish of Kashmir, South producer D'ramanaidu called us. He had come to Mumbai to find a new heroine and someone told him about us. He told us that he has come to Mumbai for some days, you better come back to Mumbai soon because I need a new heroin and after seeing  Divya's  photo, I feel like i'll like the girl. We knew that D'ramanaidu is a great producer of South and he has very respects in South and he also has a big studio. Though,  Divya felt happy and began to dream to become an actress again. When we reached to Mumbai, Rama Naidu told us that he's going back to Hyderabad so could we go with him to Hyderabad? I was feeling suspicious about him because he called us to come to Mumbai and when we came to Mumbai so he's asking us to go with him to Hyderabad but before I could say something  Divya said yes and may be this yes impressed Rama Naidu. After reaching to Hyderaba, Rama singed her a contract without taking any screen test. In 1990,  Divya debuted Telugu language film released 'Bobbili Raja' and declared super hit . After this film,  Divya became famous in South as well as in Mumbai too. Rajiv Rai came to our house when he was starting his big budget cast film 'Vishwatma', He put Rs. 500 in  Divya's hand and said it is your signing amount! This film didn't remain hit on the box office but it opened the door of success for  Divya on Hindi cinemas. Specially the song 'Saath Samandar Paar' had become the chart buster song that time and made  Divya very popular. Ayesha Jhulka and Pooja Bhatt's film were successful those days. After being successful in her first film,  Divya challenged both of them.  Divya was begun to call the league heroin of Madhuri Dixit and SriDevi. Yes, she used to resemble with SriDevi but she never copied her.  Divya was so typical. When she came to home after shooting pack up so she wore jeans and shirt and met everyone in these clothes. She never thought that she has become a big heroin and it is necessary for the to look glamorous now!

Childlike star: Star whose profit gained so that star becomes proudy but  Divya became a child after all this. Once, we made an arrangement for her birthday at China garden. This birthday was arranged by Sajid Nadiadwala, after cutting the cake  Divya got out and started dancing on the bonnet of a car. Sajid was angry with her and said to get off that car, what will people think? At that time, nearby standing Govinda said "It is we call enjoyment....!" Govinda stopped Sajid to let  Divya enjoy her life, after all it's her birthday. She used to talk friendly when someone got angry with her so she said 'Chal na yaar....jaane de na yaar.....!' She used to laughed all the time, many people told her to not laugh this much! She made fun of Sharukh Khan once on the set of 'Dil Aashna Hai' by which the secretary of Shah publish a statement in newspaper that 'his book doesn't want to work with Divya' but Shah Rukh then revealed that this statement was published to scare  Divya so she doesn't offend anyone further on. Meeta Bharti tells that  Divya became hurt so early. Once I told her to wear a dress because I thought this would look nice on her but she 'refused'. She kept denying my words and hurt me. After some days, i watched SriDevi wearing that dress then I said 'I wish SriDevi was my daughter who doesn't say not to wear my dress!'  Divya came so much hurt on this and she told about this to her secretary!'

Love and marriage:  Divya fell in love in the very young age with the director Sajid Nadiadwala. Meeta Bharti reveals that she married with Sajid so sudden but they knew that this wedding would perform, no one can stop her to do that because she's young! When i realized that  Divya will marry with Sajid so I supported her. She used to believe me but I don't want her to marry a Muslim man. Divya and Sajid loved each other but they could have been together for eight months only. Divya was so busy those time because her film career was grooming though both of them couldn't enjoy their life. My daughter was a pure Indian girl and she can leave everything for her husband. I know she didn't dream of becoming a number one actress but she wanted to make her home. She used to joke and said 'i would have loads of children whom I will leave them to you!'

A dreadful incident: Meeta Bharti regrets that she wasn't there for her daughter when Divya lost her life on 5 April, 1993. I was at my brother's home and I was playing cards with my sister-in-law.  I don't know when she came back to Mumbai, i think death bring her here.  Divya had a beauty treatment that day and she went to Bhandara with her papa and brother to find an apartment. Flat man told her to get the keys from Maresh when he gets back here. After hearing this, Divya became so much happy and began dancing on the road with her father and brother. She was happy because she thought that they would all stay together now. She spent the last evening with us at Paali Hill with our old neighbor. When she received a call from Sajid in which he asked her to come back home to meet costume designer Neeta Lulla. So my son Konal dropped her at Sajid's Tulsi apartment.  Divya asked Kunal to go home or else it will too late. Konal just came to home though we received a call that  Divya has fallen from the fifth floor and she is no more! Many rumors were circulated about her death. Many people were declaring Sajid the cause of Divya's death and some were declaring her death to have relations with underworld don Dawood Ibraham. Some news told after being insulted by Sajid,  Divya drank a lot and fell off from the fifth floor. I know Divya used to take rum in a bit quantity but she never used drugs. I was with her all the time but I never saw her taking any illegal drugs. Yes, she used to hurt so early and before the few months of her death she hurt her hand with a burning cigarette at America. Those bruises were there at her body on death time. She was so upset at the time of 'Radha Ka Singham' and cut her ulna. She didn't hesitate to her herself. Meeta tells i didn't ask about my daughter's death from Neeta Lulla and her doctor husband Shyam Lulla who were there with  Divya at the time of death. Though what i had been told about Neeta's statement was she and Shyam were watching T.V so  Divya stood up and went to balcony. She was trying to sit on balcony but she couldn't balance herself. Our maid who used to stay with  Divya all the time since she was born. Whom  Divya alled her second mother, was inside the kitchen that time. I don't blame anyone because it is the fortune. Poor Amrita bai didn't control herself after this incident and she passed away from a heart attack after some months.

After Vidya's death:  Divya's father used to have hysteria attacks after her death. He was admitted to hospital immediately. The biggest issue was disturbing that Divya changed her name to 'Sana' after her marriage so whether she should be buried or burn her. Sajid couldn't decide it because he had lost his mind during the time. So many senior directors of film industry contacted Meeta Bhatri and told her that only few people know that  Divya had changed her name to 'Sana'. This could raised the consequences for Muslims in India and many Muslims could have been killed by the union of Bal Thackeray Shiv Sinha so Divya should be burnt beside burying her.  Divya died on 5 April but she was burnt on 7 April because these consequences. Meeta tells when her husband got well from his attacks so she took him to the incident place of Vidya then she took him to graveyard where Vidya was burnt. Meeta says I lost myself after  Divya's  death for ten years I couldn't adjust myself. These ten years were the worst years of my life. I used to have in heavy depression all the time. In 2003, my son Konal got married and ask me to come back for them,  Divya s no more and now you've to take care of us. Though, after many years i opened my cupboard and took out my earrings and got ready for my son's marriage. Now I keep myself busy. I take swimming classes, take walk, i see my son's daughter Illeka in the face of  Divya   Divya went to Siddhi Naik Mandir and loved statues. My son's daughter also fond of this. It is my daily habit to go to Siddhi Naik Mandir, though i can afford a car but i go by bus because I used to go by bus with  Divya there.

Dream girl: Meeta used to dream after  Divya's death. One day I woke up early in the morning because I dreamed of  Divya and 'she said me to wake up mama'. She told that  Divya used to come in Sajid's second wife Warda dreams. Warda tells she dreamed many times that she is laying with Sajid at one side whereas  Divya on the other side of Sajid but this dream stopped coming after the six years of my wedding! Warda expresses that she loves  Divya a lot and she respects her a lot. She calls me mummy whereas Om ji is her daddy. When my son was going to be a groom so she came here to decorate her room, she performed all the rasams of engagement just like Vidya used to. Sajid and her mother Saba performs  Divya's funeral every year. Divya loved Saba very much, i remember she once applied all the cake on her face. I don't feel sad about why  Divya came in film industry, the way she wanted to live she lived. She once said, "If i don't live so gift my all things to my bhaiyaa". We don't want to cry and live in pain. Whenever  , I remember her I cry but I stop crying because i think that Divya will hurt.

Father memories: Father Om Prakash Bharti tells Divya was our first child and like everyone she has so many dreams and she wanted to prove herself. I only felt that Whether she will become a model or actress one day. When she was in school so we permitted her to model in the print ad of sarees. She did ten Telugu movie and thirteen Hindi movies in her film career. It is a very big honor to do so much films in the period of 1992 to 1994. She became the most profitable actress but she used to live so typically. A chocolate was enough to make her happy. She wasn't rude like today’s actresses. When a producer told him to stay in a cheap hotel because of a small budget so she persuaded happily. She didn’t even feel any hesitation to sleep on the bed of hair dresser. Once she gave me Rs. 5000 from her signing amount and told me to give it to the needy. I saw her taking poor children to the Manish market and bought many gifts for them. She requested to take money from Sajid Nadiadwala because she didn’t keep money with her. When film ‘Mohra’ (later it was given to Raveena Tondon)  shooting was scheduled in a jail so many prisoners became the fan of Divya. When Divya were shooting for ‘Dil Aashna Hai’ in Jodhpur’s castle so princess of Jodhpur used to tell him that she’s her favorite actress. She was so clever as an actress, she performed hardest scene without taking any take. She always quarreled with David Dhon and said him ‘tujhe to aqal hi nai h’. Sarooj Khan who was the famous choreographer and everyone called her master ji. Divya said to her ‘Moti to tang bohat karti hai’. There’s a famous director of South, when he heard about  Divya who insults in front of everyone so he barely come in front of her. But one day Divya grabbed him by hairs and said ‘Suna hai tum mujse darte ho’? after this they both became good friends. Once he really disturbed Mathan Chakarvarti but he realized later that he likes her. He also signed  Divya for one film. The time when Divya died, she was with us. She, I and my son went to Bhandara to buy her a flat. After that we spent some time with our neighbor  at Paali hill. Neighbor requested Divya to come home tomorrow so they will make dal chawal for her. Then she died. I know she used to smoke sometime but how much you can drink in half an hour. She wasn't depressed though. This is an accident because she was trying to sit on the window but she couldn't balance her body and fell down. There were grills on every floor but Sajid’s flat doesn’t have that one. There is car who used to park but there were no car down there that night and  Divya fell down straightly on the floor. I couldn't control myself. I don’t know when did they get married? May be they both wedded at the vacations of Ajmer but I always so her happy with Sajid. It is a false statement that she had a relation with underworld don Dawood Ibraham. After a long time, I got my daughter in the face of Sajid’s second wife Warda. She always introduces me as her father and Sajid also calls me father and gives me so much respect. Whenever Sajid new film releases so he arranges a special trial show for us. This Diwali, Sajid and Warda both came to our house with their kids Subhan and Sufyan. They brought many gifts for our family. Saba still cries for  Divya  I don’t want to give an honor to my daughter through print media because I don’t believe in that.  Divya was a scent who has mixed in air now but this cute and lovely face will always be lie in our hearts.
