Directors and producers are usually stays in purpose. Hero and heroines are usually famous in media and press. But the director who has spent many years in film industry and his most of the film has remained super hit so he is really famous in media. In Pakistan directors like Syed Noor, Jawed Fazil and S.Suleman are the examples who are pretty famous directors in Pakistan. Syed Noor and Riaz Shahid have been so popular for a reason because they both started their career as a writer and they continued to write film's script when they became directors and producers.
Bollywood's Yash Chopra is highly appreciated as a director and producer in India. He has spent 60 years in Bollywood as a filmmaker, which is a record itself. He's given Bollywood many remembrance movies. He was also awarded as "King of Romance". He wasn't king of romance himself. Thing is he made many movies on the topic of romance. His interviews usually published and he was also invited in TV shows but when he suddenly died few days ago so he got in new limelight from the beginning once again. Death may have given him a new life. Yash was a brave man and it proves by film "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" which is his last movie, he made it just few days ago from his death. Shah Rukh Khan interviewed Yash Chopra few days ago from his death on a TV show. Man like Yash Chopra is full of bravery and hope.
He was a different filmmaker though his real intention for film to give him highly gross but his films also gave a new art to the industry. He had become a powerful director and producer as the time passed. His name was become a brand name in the end. He wasn't just a man in Bollywood but he was a power of Bollywood. He had his own style as a filmmaker himself. He always took two lover in his movie. He always kept a message in his film about family and pure relationships mean everything in life. Yash's close friends and famous poet of all time Sahir Ludhianvi's life was reflected in Yash's films. All the songs were written by Sahir for him. Sahir wrote all the song of Yash Raj first film in 1957. After it Sahir stayed alive till 1980 and he spent his life writing songs for Yash films.
Yash Chopra came to Mumbai in 1951, before it he was taking education in Jalhandar. Sahir Ludhianvi was Yash favorite poet from his childhood. When Yash Chopra came to Mumbai so his elder brother B.R Chopra was already ruling film industry as a filmmaker. He thought of meeting his little brother to some film stars. He was thinking that Yash will be happy to meet stars especially film heroines. So he asked Yash about which stars would he want to meet? B.R Chopra was shocked to know that Yash wished to meet poet Sahir Lundhianvi than that of stars. Yash and Sahir became friends when they first met and their friendship continued till Sahir's death after 30 years of their friendship. Yash used to say about three "f" which were very important in his life. Those three "F" were "family, film and food", means he preferred his family, film and food most in his life than everything in world.
He most wanted his wife Pamela and both sons udeta and ude. Yash used to called his wife Pamela, an ideal wife. No doubt Pamela is the real person in his life who maintained him. Yash Chopra had it own reflection in some of his film characters. E.g Shah Rukh Khan used to stammer in film "Dar". Shah Rukh told that he adapted this stammering style from Yash. Yash Chopra used to stammer but it became vanish when he grew up. He gives instructions to Shah Rukh and Madhuri in "Dil To Pagal Hai" and when Shah doesn't do as he say so he used to shout at him. Pamela runs home system very well. She manages all the arrangements of parties. She's the only who knows what to do when. She knows what will Yash eat and what he will wear? Pamela suffered badly 12 years ago so Yash postponed all his works and took her to New York urgently. Pamela was operated their and when Dr. told Yash she's fine so there was no place for the happiness of Yash Ji. Yash wrote it about that time on a paper:
"Pamela is not just my wife but she's my best friend. She knows me deeply. She knows my weakness and my powers. When i was known about her cancer so I became so sad. Losing her was a great sadness for me. So I and my sons took care of her very well and she got well after some time. When I got sick badly so Pamela took care of me very well which I can't forget. She always made me happy but I don't now that did i make her happier. She's behind my all success. Yash's son Udeta is the only son who accompanies Yash in film business deals. Yash second son Uday Chopra is a calm man. He exercises a lot to fit himself and he mostly considers on his fitness. He also takes interest in films. Yash was used to keep him to his self, his school and college friends are less. Yash most friends were from film industry only.
