Tell us about your stepping in Bollywood industry?
I didn't think of Bollywood industry ever in my life. I was happy with my modelling career in England but when a Tamil director A.L. Vijay saw me during a beauty contest so he offered me to come India and work in his movie. So I worked in my first Tamil film "Madrasapattinam", after it Gautam Mannan offered me for "Ek Deewana Tha" and signed me in after the screen test. Like this I came in Bollywood.
How much experience did you get from the film "Madarasapattinam"?
This experience was perfect for me. Arya played co-star with me in the film and I'm happy that South India film box office appreciated my performance. This film became successful on box office and I won myself a award of "Best Debut Actor Female".
What is your roll, in the film "Ek Deewana Tha"?
In the film "Ek Deewana Tha", I've played the roll of a Malayalee Christian girl who belongs to Kerala. Who comes to Mumbai........after it you'll find it after watching.
Are you sure working in this film?
It's my first Bollywood film and I'm pretty excited about it. Working with the director like Gautam Mannan is an honor for me. He's no doubt a perfectionate. I think that "Ek Deewana Tha" will introduce me well in Bollywood. This film is the Hindi remake of Tamil film. I've seen Gautam's Tamil film like 15 times.
What was the first shoot of the film, do you remember?
Yes I do remember...because I was so nervous that time. It was a scene of introduction between Pratiek and me. We both were walking together on a road. I didn't hope that I would make it right. I'm thankful to ALLAH that everything went fine.
Did you have any trouble working in the film?
The biggest trouble for me was I can't speak Hindi language. My voice has been dubbed in the movie but I've managed to have a tutor for this who can help me get through because I can hardly speak one or two Hindi words. It was also necessary for dubbing that my lips move like I'm saying those dialogue. It was a challenge for me. I've watched the film's trailer recently and I'm pretty happy about it.
Your Idol actor in Bollywood?
I'm a big fan of Ranbir Kapoor. I've seen his "Rockstar" and I think that he's worked hard in that movie. If I was given a chance to work with him, I'll feel good.
What have you learn after becoming a part of Bollywood?
When I came here, I was just 19-year-old. I didn't think of travelling to India and become the part of Bollywood industry. It was all unique and special for me. But today I'm able to stay alone in this big city "Mumbai". I've become more self confident now.
Tell us about your upcoming projects?
I've another film to work on with. It'a South Indian film and South's super star Vikram will be with me. I hope that the film's shooting will start in 2012. I'm also focusing on some projects of Bollywood. Though I'm ready to play any role now but I'll prefer to keep an eye on Bollywood's environment.
