The famous Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey in the city at 8:30 am on Monday morning. This is her first visit to India. So Oprah first reached to her welcome place at the Taj Mahal Palace And Towers, Colaba, where a group of specially-abled boys from the Happy Home And School For the Blind did performance for welcoming Oprah Winfrey.
Oprah is fond of music so the boys sang her with a song called Swagatham, and she liked it very much and even shoot some pictures with them, "Winfrey says a well-placed source. Oprah wore a graland of pink roses and sporting a 'tika' and she was taken to her room of heaven, She was taken to the Ravi Shankar suite located at the heart of the hotel. "It's the hotel's signature suite which features Grammy Winner's personal memories, There are pictures on the walls which tells the time when Goerge Harrison from the Beatles arrived India to learn how to play the sitar from him," tells the source.
For those of who don't know Oprah has come to India with 24 people with herself, and they'll be staying at the hotel until tomorrow. Though she hasn't asked for any cuisine yet but the Indian chef are anxious to give her a masale dar tadka dish. General Manager of the hotel Gaurav Pokhariyal said when he was contacted, "It's an honour for me and my hotel staff to welcome famous Oprah Winfrey to the Taj Mahal Palace."
