Vidya Balan sure has played her film inning very well. It wasn't all that she married to Siddarth Rai Kapoor of UTV. She was busy in the shooting of film 'Ghanchakkar' before wedding, and wasn't agreed to take any offer. Vidya says that marriage shouldn't disturb her film career. She has given a recent spicy interview after her wedding. Let's enjoy it.
1) What is your favorite place to travel?
I'm traveled the whole world and that's why my words have weight. New Zealand is the world most beautiful place. If i get a chance so I would place a permanent residence there with Siddarth.
2) You belong to Kerala! Which one you'll choose if you ask between Kerala and Mumbai?
Mumbai is now my hometown and work of place whereas I love Kerala. We all know that people call Kerala the important place of nature. I try to visit Kerala every year once.
3) Has stardom effected your life?
Absolutely, I don't get a chance to do many of my work. I can't even meet my own relatives. Though I love them and I make them feel this.
4) It has been heard that you're afraid of 'cats'?
Who say that? I love cats, but don't have any pet right now. I just get afraid when a black cat crosses my way.
5) If you have a chance to abide one of your bad habit so which one that will be?
I'm what I'm. I don't think I would change anything in myself.
6) If you are sent to a big island and you're advised to take only five things with you so what would those things will be?
Ipod, a book, and we've to be alive so 'vegetarian food', 'my tootbrush', and some 'DVDs'. This is how I can connect to my family and I'll also enjoy myself.
7) Do you like Western music or songs, poems and Bhajan?
What does my image show to you? I like 'Eastern music'. Though I also listen to Western music and enjoy it too.
8) How many languages can you speak fluently?
I'm not a poetess but full of languages. I can speak English, Tamil, Hindi, Malyam, Urdu, Bangali and Marathi whereas I can also speak many languages on demand.
9) Do you have any childhood 'crush'?
I like Amitabh Bachchan and I insisted my mother to take me to the cinema to watch him film, but you can't call it a 'crush'.
10) Who is your 'best friend' in the film industry?
I don't have anyone! It is a place where no one is your friends. At least, I've this point of view after all these years.
11) How do you fight 'criticism'?
Criticism must be 'accurate'. Otherwise I like to break the face of that person.
12) What is your dream roll?
Not one, I want to do two characters. One character is Indira Gandhi. I think it will be very hard to perform this roll. My second wish to perform the character of Lata ji in a documentary film on Lata Mangeshkar.
13) Isn't this right that one of a scene of film 'Kahaani' has been copied from the film 'Takes Lives' pregnant Nancy?
It is just your thought. It doesn't have any reality. Film 'Kahaani' is a original directed film, and it has not been copied from another film.
14) Who is your favorite music director between Bappi Lahiri and A.R Rehman?
I know why this question has been asked? Song 'Tu hai meri Fantasy' has composed by Bappi, and this song has become my identity. That's why I can't let down Bappi ever. Whereas there is no one like A.R Rehman.
15) You've worked in five famous T.V shows, are you still in contact with them?
Girl who played 'Kajol bhai' role is still my friend. Apart from it, I also meet other team members. Ekta Kapoor who was the maker of 'Hum Paanch' is my best friend.
16) Which things do you like in a person?
Self respect, respect for others and habit to be neat and clean.
17) Who is the best new actor of film industry?
After watching 'Barfi', I would say Ranbir Kapoor.
18) Your film was being made with Farhan Akhter, what happened to it?
I can't tell you anything further about this. Project has been postponed because of my marriage. Project will be begun in the mid of 2013 hopefully.
19) Do you hate a fan when he or she crosses limits?
I can't hate my fans, but I do get disturbed. I tell them that we're also human like you and we've personal life too.
20) When you were a kid so which television show you watched most?
We all family liked 'Ye Jo Hai Zindagi'. That's why I've seen some of its episodes many times.
21) Have you get tired any of your habit?
I like cleaning and my this habit makes me mad sometime.
22) Which one you'll prefer road-selling 'pani pori' or Chinese food?
If I get Chinese food on road so both of my wishes will fulfill.
23) Is it true that film 'Gulab Gang' role which has been given to Madhuri now, was offered to you first?
As long as I know, nobody considered me for the role of 'Gulab Gang'.
24) You've brought the era of female oriented films, you'are the one to credit, tell us some names of your female oriented films?
Thanks! Films are Parineeti, No One Killed Jessica, Kahaani, The Dirty Picture etc.
25) Do you intend to work after marriage?
Yes I do and I will do it further on. Don't you know that I'm doing a film 'Ghanchakkar' which is my husband's film.
26) It is the second time you're working with Emraan Hashmi, are you comfortable with her?
If Emraan's image is like that so after doing 'The Dirty Picture', my image has not been that quite clean. That's why we're both even and I'm comfortable with him.
27) Do you have a chance to do television show or drama?
There are loads of chances, but i'm not planning for that.
28) Can we know about your education?
Why not! I've done Masters from Mumbai university.
29) Have you worked in Bangla films before film 'Parineeti'?
Not Bangla at all, I've also done South Indian films, and my first Malyam film is 'Bhasha Ki Chakram'. Mohan Lal was hero in that.
30) You refused Pradeel Sarkar to do 'Laga Chunri Me Daag', is he still angry with that?
Which year are you talking about? Pradeep sir is my master and I've already apologized to him.
31) You're only two sisters, no brother?
Why not, you're my 'brother'.
32) Have you done more movies with John Abraham besides 'Salaam-e-Ishq'?
No, It is just a movie we've done together.
33) Do you know how to ride a bike?
Yes I do, but it is impossible to ride it on the crowded roads of Mumbai. I can't even drive a car here.
