2012 was the most successful year for Bollywood film industry. Audience have liked nearly all the films on box office. Stars remained shine in viewers eyes. Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt gave so much happiness to their audience. These star's films were remained successful on the big screen and also entered in '100 crore Club'. 100 crore club list was announced in 2012. Stars whose films grossed profit on a big level are Salman Khan's "Aik Tha Tiger", Aamir Khan's "Talaash", Akshay Kumar's "Rowdy Rathore" and "Khiladi 786", Shah Rukh Khan's "Jab Tak Hai Jaan", Hrithik Roshan's "Agneepath" and Ajay Devgan's "Son Of Sardar". It is said about Bollywood that It is a film industry of men, though actress also proved themselves in 2012 and they were liked by the audience very much. Vidya Balan performed a memorable performance in "Kahani" and gained popularity. Kareena Kapoor proved herself as the most powerful actress by showing her acting performance in "Aik Mein Aur Aik Tu", "Heroine" and "Talaash". "Rowdy Rathore", "Joker", "Son Of Sardar" and "Dabangg 2" are the films by which Sonakshi persuaded audience to make her the most successful actress of  Bollywood. Big budget movies script was mostly based on cultural activities. Big stars were the biggest reason of these films to become successful. But big budget movies didn't have any big actor in it but they also succeeded to make a big gross. "Gangs of Wassipur", "Kahani", "Vicky Donor" and "Paan Singh Tomar were included in those films for which huge amount of audience gathered outside the cinemas to watch. 2012 also remained successful for Bollywood because Bollywood really welcomed newcomers by its full heart and soul. The stars who were welcomed by the Bollywood at full support are Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam (Vicky Donor), Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra (Ishaaqzade), Varun Dhawan, Sidarth Malhotra and Aalia Bhatt (Student Of The Year). Promoting films via E-commerce website were also seen in 2012. Famous producers contracted with famous Indian E-commerce website to promote their films, films are "Heroine", "Jal Pari", "Cocktail" and "Barfi".
               2012 can also be called as the year of weddings. In the beginning of 2012, Ritesh Deshumuk and Genelia D'Souza got married after many years of friendship. In June, Hima Malini and Dharminder's daughter Esha Deol married. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor got married for forever in October. After it on 14 December, Vidya Balan became Mrs. Sidarth Roy Kapoor.

2012 was the combined year for Hollywood, where some films gained the bank balances for filmmakers but some films didn't reach up the budget. Twilight series fifth and  last film "Twilight Breaking Dawn part 2" remained the successful movie of 2012. Twilight was made on the budget of 120 million USD with famous stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Twilight fifth was released in the month of November and it had already gained 80 million USD at the end of this year. Films which gained popularity in audience are Batman series "The Dark Knight Rises" and James Bond film's 30th series "Skyfall", Walt Disney studio film "The Avengers", Spiderman's series fourth film "The Amazing Spider-man", Universal Picture's "Battleship", Columbia Picture's "Men In Black 3", "The Hunger Games" and "The Hobbit". Prequel and sequel have been a tradition in Hollywood, Bollywood and many other film industries have also adapted this tradition by Hollywood. People love to watch remake of old movies in American film industry but this tradition has been coming to end now. Many film's remakes couldn't make any profit on the box office in 2012. Films which were listed in failure categories are "Total Recall", "Conan The Barbarian", "Arthur", "Let Me In" and "3:10". According to viewers who kept their eyes on the Hollywood film industry said that the biggest reason of failure was to not make films on the culture of America. "Battleship" was the most successful movie of Universal Pictures. Preparations are being made to make films based on the board games like Battleship, Candy Land and Cluedo. Space Invaders and Asteroids were also showed on big screen to make people fond of these games. American filmmakers also showed many Chinese characters in their films in 2012. Though, the situation has changed now. Hollywood's film studios are now showing Chinese traditions on the big screen. China film industry has become the second biggest movie market in world. China has influenced on Hollywood on high cost. American film industry gained 2 Billion USD by the help of Chinese film market. Though, cinemas are rapidly growing in China, that's why American film industry hasn't got any choices but to make films on the tradition of China.
