Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh has announced that audience will get another chance to see a 'new' Vidya Balan in Kahaani 2 and she'll also perform some dangerous scenes. Ghosh told, "Though, in the scripts there are some scenes in which Vidya will be seen doing action. Ghosh also said, "Kahaani was shot in Kolkata and It gave a fantastic gross in the beginning of 2012 and remained a super hit. Ghosh told about the script, "Right now we're making the script and we're working hard on it. The film will be on cinema when the script completes by next year, some characters will be repeated from the first and some scenes will be shot in Kolkata."
