KATRINA KAIF KNOWS THE FORMULA OF SUCCESS

If we take a look at Katrina’s face so we’ll think her as a princess. Her story is also related to a princess one. When she stepped in the Bollywood film industry so no one knew her name even herself, but today
she’s the demand of every filmmaker and every filmmakers wish to cast her as their heroine. Not having aware of Hindu’s language, cast and social life, Katrina has conquered the box office. It doesn’t end here, but the famous prince charming of Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor couldn’t stop herself in front of the beauty of this princess though Katrina doesn’t want to talk about this. She has no doubt become the Bollywood’s top star, but her simple lifestyle and looks didn’t change at all. She has given a recent interview. Let’s come and know about her.

How do you feel today to be the top star of Bollywood film industry?
When I wish to work in some film and I don’t get it so I sit and think about why didn’t I get this film, but when I looked back in my past so I see how  many films I’ve done and gained success. That’s when I proud of myself a bit that what I’ve got no one can steal it from me. I don’t like to sit relax and calm because it’s not in my nature, but if I see truthfully so I’ve got much and loads more than I expected.

What did you learn from the experiences you had through those times and what changes have you made in your life?
I’ve learned much and I’m learning till now. When you learn something new about your work so you do make some changes in yourself. I’ve done many songs, film and roles, so I know now which film I’ve to choose and which I don’t have to. I know that hard role will make me more famous. I think my film career as a journey in which director is my guide. I’ve learned this from my experience.

When you’re called a Barbie doll so how do you feel?
When someone calls me a Barbie doll so how can I criticize him or her?  Yeah, it’s true that I’ve been given
the title of ‘Barbie doll’ and my name doll is also available in the markets, but that doesn’t mean I can’t do any other work besides from it. I tell you once a legendary actress told me that ‘she did loads of films in her film career, but she’s only known today for her dance’, it’s not that audience don’t like her acting and work, but it’s the nature of our film industry that industry only see actresses dance and glamour.

You had denied to do film ‘Barfi’, you must feel sad because it went  a big hit on the box office?
The thing is I don’t talk about those movies which I’ve not done or which I’ve refused. I can only say that Anurag Basu is a tremendous director and ‘Barfi’ was a beautiful movie. If I get offered from him so I will accept it. I don’t get a thing why do we always talk about past when it doesn’t have nothing for us now.

It is said that Salman Khan is the one behind your success, what will you say about this?
I believe there is a destiny behind every successful man and in the end hard work and abilities come. I met Salman Khan when I was little and I had not any image in film industry. He is a strong man and his every opinion is important for me in every aspect of my life and film career. I say if Salman didn’t come in my life and I didn’t meet Akshay so I have had lost much today.

You mentioned Akshay Kumar, tell us about him?
Akshay Kumar helped me as an actor when many actors had refused to work with me. He not only worked with me, but he also gave me trust. Appearance of Akshay was a great success for me when I didn’t have no
one to meet.

What exactly is between you and Salman Khan though we’ve heard a lot?
Salman tells me to not talk about our relation and family in media. I accept his opinion and don’t talk about it. It’s hard to make relation with someone, but it’s more hard in film industry. You’ve to make strong relation here and that takes so much time and dangers.

You’ve worked with Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan already and now you’re working with Aamir Khan, how did you find these three Khans?
I’ve been working with Salman Khan for long and he always tells me to work hard as much as I can. He presents him as a simple actor when he’s on the set.  If I talk about Shah Rukh khan so I’ve experienced him like I’ve heard about him. We worked happily on the sets of ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ and Shah was always there to help me out. He’s a very cooperative actor. Aamir Khan, I was so impressed with his perfectionist. First scene of ‘Dhoom 3’ was pretty good. I didn’t feel that I’m standing in front of a big actor, whom I’ve to
prove myself. I worked very calmly and ‘Aamir’ is the reason behind it.

Let’s talk about Ranbir Kapoor?
He’s a good actor and he has abilities to gain every impossible thing. We’ve worked together in ‘Rajneeti’ and ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani’ and both of the films went big hits. Ranbir is a good person and a good friend.

But we’ve heard that you two are seeing each other?
Those are all rumors and rumors have no proofs. I don’t talk about my personal life, I’ll only say that people will stop rumoring about us when one of us will get married to someone else.

Many people has seen you having dinner at cinema house and hanging out at many places with hand to hand?

I’m hearing this first time that hanging out with a friend means to this. I don’t like someone to interfere in my personal life.

KAJOL AND RANI MUKHERJEE TO BATTLE FOR SUPERIORITY!

Though the biggest film making production of Bollywood 'Yash Raj Films' can make any kind of film and character for their soon to be daughter-in-law Rani Mukherjee, but what can we do when Rani has only been wanted those roles which have been denied by the other heroines of Bollywood and most specially she
has taken up every refusal role of her beloved cousin Kajol has denied. Now you call it a coincidence or whatever but the films Rani showed up, has been super hit. Directors and producers first choose Kajol or Aishwaria for their heroine, but after the refusal of these heroines they have called up Rani to cast in their films. Though this matter is still underway and we're going to discuss it today about when and how Kajol's 'no' became Rani's 'yes'.

BOMBAY TALKIES (2013)
Bombay Talkies has been made a documentary film to celebrate the 100 years of Bollywood film industry which is being directed by Bollywood's four famous directors Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee. This film will be based on five stories and every story will have 20 minutes duration each. When Karan contacted his favorite heroin Kajol to work in this movie so Kajol refused it with the reason that she will do another film with Karan Johar, but not this 20 minutes documentary film. After Kajol's refusal, Karan then contacted Rani Mukherjee for this role and Rani who seems to seek these kind of roles accepted it with no demands. Kajol and Rani have been in fight with each other for long and when Karan invited Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Kajol in his show "Koffee With Karan" so viewers easily felt the ignorance and dispute between these two heroines, but Rani doesn't allow dispute when it comes to films,
she easily accepts it.

SARASWATICHANDRA (2013)
Rani is not always ready for films, but she is also ready for T.V dramas promotion. Yes, when Sanjay Leela Bhansali invited Aishwaria Rai in the promotional event of his drama so Aishwaria clearly denied it. She doesn't even care about that Sanjay is the reason of what today Aishwaria is who has given her super hit films like 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Devdas' and 'Guzarish'. However, Bollywood director secondly chose Rani Mukherjee to invite in his event and everyone was witnessed that Rani Mukherjee was there to attend that wonderful event besides of Aishwaria Rai Bachchan.

BAABUL (2006)
Kajol was offered to perform the role of heroine 'Mili' in "Baabul", but according to Kajol role and story both were not fascinating, and she decided to kick this film after being the wonderful cast of stars of Amitabh
Bachchan, Hima Malini and Salman Khan and Rani was cast besides Kajol. Unfortunately this decision was wrong to make because the film went flopped badly.

KABHI ALVIDA NA KEHNA (2006)

In film "Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna", Kajol had to work opposite with Shah Rukh Khan, but Kajol said 'no' to this role and this became the 'yes' of Rani Mukherjee. Film became successful worldwide, but not quite liked in India.

CHALTE CHALTE (2003)
On the set of this film, Aishwaria, Shah Rukh and Salman fight caused a big trouble for them, but it became advantage for Rani Mukherjee. When Shah Rukh kicked out Aishwaria from this film so Rani came like a
help to Shah Rukh Khan and accepted this role. After this Rani and Aishwaria became foe.

If we keep an eye on Rani Mukherjee's film career from 2003 to 2013 so we can easily see that Rani hasn't changed her habits a bit. She still gets other star's films which they deny to do so.

ADITI RAO HYDARI: I FOLLOW THE THRILL

Performing her remarkable acting abilities in film 'Murder 3' Aditi Rao Hydari has made her quite popular and famous so early. She has proved to be a versatile actress that she can perform action, thriller, romance
and comedy roles so easily after working in movies like 'Ye Saala Zindagi',  'Delhi 6', 'London Paris New York' and now 'Murder 3'. Her hard work is the real worth behind her success. Let us know how does she feel now?

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF
I'm a girl with loads of happiness in myself, i make myself happy all the time and also the people who are around me. In film 'Murder 3' my role was pretty compared to that. Performing role in a thriller film is not a big deal or may be 'Roshni' role was so simple and real so I didn't realize that i was acting.

HOW DID YOU GET THIS FILM
This film is my first thriller film which has been directed by Vishesh Bhatt. Although it is Vishesh's first film as a director, but he is pretty aware from his work. He knows all the secrets of film making. It is true in Bollywood that no one can make thriller film as much thriller as Bhatt's make.

YOUR MEMORABLE MOMENT
One of a song of 'Murder 3', 'Jata Hai Tujh Tak' was shot in an animal park in Capetown. Though I love
animals a lot so my favorites moments were taking pictures with cheeta. Whole the unit were worried about me that I won't be able to perform that scene, but I performed it pretty well while playing with cheeta.

HOW WAS THE EXPERIENCE?
You get thrilled after reading the script and completing the film which means the director has made a good film to watch. I was feeling the same when I first watched 'Murder 3'. That's why I was sure that audience are going to love this movie. I also like thriller films and it was the great experience for me to work in 'Murder 3'.

YOUR IDEAL AND UPCOMING PROJECTS
The versatility of a star impresses me a lot. I'm pretty impressed from Randeep Hooda's acting and face expressions and i think he's the most suitable actor for thriller films. My favorite thriller films are 'Johnny Gaddar', 'Aik Haseena Thi', 'Kahaani' and 'Talaash'. I can't talk about my upcoming projects though I would want to do thriller films.

FASHION AND STYLE ARE MY LIFE: SONAM KAPOOR

In film industry acting abilities and beauty is the real combination to make your name famous, and If you are pretty aware from fashion and style so that would be perfect for one. Sonam Kapoor is known in the list of those actresses who are pretty aware of fashion and style as well as acting. She has won the title of "Fashion Queen" in Bollywood. Since then she stepped in the film industry she has been wowing people through her fashion and styles. There is a reason behind it that her mother Sunita Kapoor has been a fashion designer herself. Though Sonam learned it all from her mother and now she knows not only Eastern style but she also
knows how to fashion in Western style. Sonam has revealed about her fashion and style in her recent interview which is described below:

Which thing impresses you most about fashion?

Dress doesn't adapt you, but you've to adopt it yourself. So you should wear those dresses which make you feel comfortable and happy. I'm so impressed with Madhubala, Meena Kumari and Katharine Hepburn dresses. Whereas there are several dresses from the movies which impress me a lot. But if we talk about acting so I choose my dresses on the basis of my character demands.

Why did you win the title of "Fashion Queen"?

When I came in film industry so I wouldn't want to wear big saris and typical dresses because it wasn't my
style of dresses. Like people who know how to appreciate arts, the same case with me here i know how to appreciate dresses and style. Though when I chose my different style of dress so other people had a new thought from me. Actually, when you do things by your own style so people like it and start to follow it because it's different from others. That's the reason people like what i wear.

Do you take help from the International fashion magazines for this?

I often take the online fashion surveys and get updated from every tiny thing attach with fashion. I mostly like the fashion style from 1950's to 1980's. Actually, I'm the fan of classic fashion, but it's not like that I don't like today's fashion. I like every style which attaches from some history. I'm a smart girl and when I wear shoulder pads blouse and long skirt so I feel myself of a 1980's heroin. Now a days I'm enjoying wearing top and high vest pants which were pretty famous in 1980.

Do you not like Indian designer?

There is a problem with many fashion designer of Indian that they don't follow their own tradition and style like Lucknow, Hyderabadi, Kashmiri, but they are pretty impresses with Western fashion. Few days ago when I went to Banaras for my film 'Ranjhana' shooting so there I bought loads of beautiful Banarsi saris. Indian tradition is our most important asset. That's the reason I like those designers who follow their own country tradition and fashion. I don't order them to not design Western dresses, but I want them to put some Eastern colors in it. Just like Indian designer Anamika designed me a beautiful dress from a Banarsi sari. The reality is Western culture is impressed from us, but unfortunately we shy to follow our own tradition and
culture. I've attended a wonderful foreign channel show which was organized on the interests of Mumbai and Jaipur's culture. The dresses which were presented for the exhibition were full of beautiful work. So when they can adapt you culture and tradition so beautifully so why can't us? Anamika is the only designer whose work reflects the Hyderabadi culture through her dresses she designs, but she sews it by putting Western fashion in front of her.

So do people like these kind of dresses?

Yes! absolutely. Indian robes only suit on Indian women. I think people don't like gowns and skin tight dresses as compared to Indian dresses. Yes, if a girl is tall and smart like Deepika, Anushka or me so that looks good on her.

As a country, how much stylish Indian is?

I went to my sister Rhea's house recently in JaiPur. There we saw many labors wearing dhoti and kurta. They were also wearing Rajhastani jewelry, but they were looking good and fashionable. Dresses like these are also shown in our films and people also like them so why don't we stop following Western fashion? Whereas we can find ourselves pretty fashionable in our own dresses. Actresses like Rani Mukherjee in 'Bunti Or Babli' and Kareena Kapoor in 'Jab We Met' wore Indian dresses and they looked beautiful. I myself wore flower full shalwar kameez and dhoti in my film 'Delhi 6', people liked it a lot. If you go to old Delhi or Jawaharlal Nehru university so you will find boys and girls in good dresses, but those dresses are not exprensive dresses, but they are bought from ordinary shops. If you go to Linking road in Mumbai so you'll see girls wearing shorts with Kulhapuri chappal. I like their style very much.

It is said that you can adapt yourself in much unique style when it comes to photo shoots?

People always tell me that I look much different and unique in my photo shoots, and I tell them that 'This is
acting'. I'm busy in performing my character that time. Many years ago, I did a shoot for a famous yearly filmi magazine. I adapted the style of Wahida Rehman, Meena Kumari and Nutan in that shoot. Though i wasn't Sonam Kapoor that time, but I was an actress who were adapting herself in different characters. As an actress doing remarkable acting in my photo shoots is my first priority, and that's the reason my photos look beautiful in every photo shoot.

Have you ever found your dress and hairstyle worse after wearing it all up?

The most interesting thing is when you're happy from inside so you can't hate any dress and hairstyle on yourself. Though if you happy with yourself so any hairstyle and dress can look beautiful on you.

Which dress looks beautiful on you from your wardrobe's collection?

There isn't a dress, but there are loads of dresses. I've many lengthy maxi frocks. Whenever I feel myself fatty so i wear one of them and I start to feel good then.

Your most favorite dress?

I love saris the most. I feel that I look very pretty wearing them.

Would you like to launch your fashion brand?

We're discussing about it. However, i'm not concentrating on this because of my busy schedule, and my sister Rhea is also busy in three films productions, but many people are forcing us to launch our own fashion brand. Though we'll start work on that in the mean time. It's my biggest wish to do this work with films.

What changes have you found in your style in the last past five years?

When I stepped in the film industry so I used to wear Indian dresses mostly. I was nervous like everyone
else so I used to wear comfortable dresses. During the premiere of my first film 'Sanwariya', I wore many Indian dresses to feel myself comfortable. I also had many experience during the film 'Delhi 6'. Though I like to wear mix and match  now. I advice girls to wear every dress, but you should first know how to wear it correctly.

Which kinds of shoes you'll recommend to new generation girls to wear?

If your height is small so you should wear high heels and if you're tall so you can wear flat shoes and you can even wear sandals. Indian girls usually have average height so they should use average heel shoes and sandals, and they should also keep two or three light colors sandals with black black shoes with themselves.

How do you feel when someone criticizes on your dress?

I always try to keep my behaviour calm. If someone criticizes on my dress so I don't pay attention to it because if i like my dress so why would I offend badly? I also try to keep my behaviour calm in my other matters of life.

NUSHRAT BHARUCHA BELIEVES IN TALENT AND HARD WORK

Mumbai girl Nushrat Bharucha is a raising face of Bollywood film industry and she has made herself popular
by performing the role of 'Neha' in film 'Pyar Ka Panchnama'. Her recent released film 'Akaash Vani' has been released few days ago which has got pretty good response and specially her acting has been appreciated by the audience. Though Nushrat hasn't been able to work in a big banner film, but she has succeeded to make her own identity through her acting. Lets come and ask her about her role 'vani' in her new film 'Akaash Vani' and what did she expect from her audience in this film?

HOW WAS THE EXPERIENCE?

After 'Pyar Ka Punchnama', people gave very good response and after that my couple with Kartik Tiwari was also appreciated. Both of the films has given me very good experience. I don't know how to gain popularity in film industry, but i believe that i will be able to make my own place through my hard work and versatility.

DID YOU FACE ANY PROBLEM?

My producer and my hero are same in both of my movies. The biggest challenge for me in my films was to look different, though Neha and Vani characters are different from each other and they took special attention on character's look and style, but I still tried to perform both roles very beautifully. Audience's appreciation is the prove that they have liked my performance. I think the couple of us is great on big screen.

HOW DID YOU GET THIS FILM?

I'm thankful to everyone from producer to casting director who gave me this opportunity to do something
amazing. I consider myself lucky that I've got a chance to work in good films and wonderful co-star. Getting this film was like everyone else's, I just gave an audition and I was chosen, I didn't face problems getting this film, neither I had to go to face any 'casting couch'.

FAVORITE ACTRESS

Kajol is my favorite actress and I've been the craziest fan of her since my childhood. I decided that someday I will make my place in Bollywood film industry like Kajol.

UPCOMING PROJECTS

I've considering on some projects, but I'll only work with those producers who understand my work and talent. I want to persuade myself through which people like my performance.
